 Welcome to the Ivy League Preschool. My name is Ami McGovern and I am
the owner and director. I have my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in
Education, specifically reading and  I am so excited to begin our
UPK collaboration with the Cornwall Central School District. 
I taught UPK in the Brooklyn public schools when it was just starting
out over 30 years ago!

  • Our mission statement is to prepare our next generation of children with the confidence and skills necessary to develop into sucessful individuals in the twenty-first century.
  • The philosophy of the preschool is based on the different learning capabilities of children, which is the focus of Harvard University's, Howard Gardner.
  • Howard Gardner's revolutionary theory is "the eight forms of intelligence": linguistic, musical, logical-mathematical, spatial, naturalist, interpersonal, intra-personal, and bodily-kinesthetic.
