Welcome to the Ivy League Preschool.
My name is Ami McGovern and I am the owner and director. I have my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education, specifically reading and I am so excited to begin our UPK collaboration with the Cornwall Central School District. I taught UPK in the Brooklyn public schools when it was just starting out over 30 years ago!

We have opened
a bright and cheery infant room!!
- New York State Certified Director and Teacher with years of Universal
Pre-K instruction.
- Brand new facillity built to New York State regulations.
- Energizing pre-literacy
and pre-math curriculumn.
- Our mission statement is to prepare our next generation of children with the confidence
and skills necessary to develop into sucessful individuals in the twenty-first century.
- The philosophy of the
preschool is based on the different learning capabilities of children, which is the focus of Harvard University's, Howard
Gardner.
- Howard Gardner's revolutionary theory is "the eight forms of intelligence": linguistic, musical,
logical-mathematical, spatial, naturalist, interpersonal, intra-personal, and bodily-kinesthetic.
